Temperaments & Relationships
As we read in Scripture, “It is not good for man to be alone” (Genesis 2:18). Pope St. John Paul II would often refer to our meaning and purpose as human persons being found in relationship, rather than in isolation.
In this workshop, we explore how our primary and secondary temperaments can shape our interactions with others, and how we can grow in virtue within our temperaments so that they can become a source of union, rather than a source of conflict in their immature state.

In this workshop, you will:
-
Name the common ways that each temperament can show up viciously in a relationship.
-
Name the common ways that each temperament can show up virtuously in a relationship.
-
Take ownership of areas of virtue and vice in our temperament in our primary relationships with our spouse, children, parents, or best friend.
-
Consider the temperament of your spouse, children, parents, or another significant relationship and how they receive love.
-
Come to a place of acceptance and understanding of the temperaments of your spouse, child, parent, or other significant relationship and awareness of what motivates them.
